ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Graphic design plays an integral part in society and our ability to distinguish and determine the ways we spend our time and money. Designers control how people view things from instruction manuals to street signs to food packaging. They utilize trends, psychology, art theory, and colors to shape society’s view of a brand or product, assist in learning and understand, and communicate new ideas or concepts.
As a graphic designer, my aim is to create functional and effective pieces that reflect the ideals and thoughts of the customer. I facilitate communication between organizations and the general public through simplistic, elegant designs. My work consists mostly of geometric shapes, simple illustrations, and typography. I use these tools to aid in
marketing products, events, and organizations through brand identity, advertisements, and print materials such as books, manuals, posters, or brochures.
