Art is something that’s always been in my life. I grew up drawing and making things for my mom like most kids do, but it became more as I got older. People had always told me that I was good at art, and that encouragement pushed me along, but I think it wasn’t until after I dealt with loss and began to use it as an outlet that I truly realized how important it was to me. Some thoughts are easier to express on paper or a canvas than they are to speak aloud, and that is especially true when you’re young and you feel like your world has been ripped out from under you. I know I was only able to make it this far in life with God’s grace, the people who loved and believed in me when I could not, and art.

   My goal with art is simple: to create and to help people. Designing something for someone else is just as, if not more satisfying than creating for oneself. With graphic design there’s always a client or a consumer in mind and if you can translate their vision into a visual it’s like magic.
