Ramey Hogue

As someone who grew up in the south for their whole life, I have grown up with the impression of nature always being present everywhere I am. Having grown up always going to a farm with my family, hunting, and fishing, it is interesting to see the relationships that is between us as humans and nature whether that is us benefitting from its resources or admiring its beauty. Each piece that I present brings about the idea of nature and mankind. What makes some pieces more special than others is my personal stories behind the works. Making something personal is what made me want to be an artist on paper and on the screen. If I can not create something that I connect to then why create? This creates a continuousness idea that nature and man will never lose their relationship so I should not lose my connection with it to my artwork.
